Different Types Of Printers
Written by Admin on March 15th, 2011Printing services vary from one another in terms of the speed they can produce a copy of whatever it is the customer wants printed. This is something which can be controlled by the owner of the company. A quick gauge of the difference between the type of service which can be done is done on the type of equipment that they have. There are a lot of printing devices out in the market, so depending on the specific target group you want, you need to select your printing devices. We will be discussing some different types of printing devices in this article.
First and foremost, any printing company should have different types of digital printers. There are different types of printers which are based on what type of surface you’ll be printing on. The different types of printers that you can select are deskjet printers, laser printers, bubblejet printers or inkjet printers. There are colored printers and then there are those which can only print in black and white or grayscale. These printers also have different types of quality and speed, so it is imperative that you will be able to handle the specifications of the client before doing any printing. You need to know the quality for the type of print that will be done, such as printing for a manuscript or for flyers. This has helped printing be more efficient within our own custom printing San Diego company.
Next, you can own a fax machine. A fax machine is also a printing device, but it has one unique advantage. It has the distinct advantage of being able to send data via the phone line, and then printing it out on the recipient’s end. You can send data like documents easily using this device, but that is all it is able to send. And another thing, the quality of the print of a fax machine is relatively poor. Since a fax machines primary purpose is to transmit and receive data, the printing quality is relatively poor compared to an ordinary printer. That is why we rarely use it for our postcard printing service.
Third, you can have a copier. Copiers are capable of copying a document and then printing it out quickly at high speeds. There are a lot of different types of printers, but they are usually classified under two major headings which are toner type copiers or ink type copiers. Ink type copiers are able to print out documents which can last a long time before fading, but the quality of the print goes without a doubt to toner type copiers. You would do well to be able to have both copiers so that you can give different options to clients. We do use this for certain jobs in our full color brochureservices.
So those are the major printing devices you should have in a printing business. Having these different devices will be able to provide you with the chance to provide more service to different customers.
